Create Harmony at Work

Warning - Thinking can Seriously Damage your Health

We often get upset about what other people are, or are not doing, and spend hours thinking about it, going round and round in circles, winding ourselves up. This creates tension in our bodies which eventually leads to illness and disease. If we are always aware of what is going on, and observe without getting emotionally absorbed, we won't feel so drained.

Reflections at Work

It is possible to ponder on each situation in a different way, looking at what is being symbolised for us about how we live our own lives. It can help us to identify changes we can make. For example, if other people are forever dumping junk into your nice, clear workspace, maybe it is a reflection of the 'junk' you dump into your own body? e.g. junk food, mental junk

Teamwork

We can no longer live our lives without considering the impact on everyone else of everything we do or say. We need to be aware of what happens next - who is affected by what we have just done. When something needs to be said, we communicate what we feel in full, and in a way that recognises equality, i.e. does not impose, blame or make anyone lesser.

Being Playful

Work can be good fun if we allow ourselves to be playful. When we understand that the way we live our lives creates the world around us,  it is possible that we can each take individual responsibility for creating harmony in the workplace.
